Is it worth it to get professional photos?

Remember, the first thing that clients will see are your photos and with the competition getting increasingly harsh, it is always best to put yourself in the ‘limelight’. There are so many girls escorting nowadays and if you want to get work consistently over time, then you have to portray yourself in the best way possible. Good professional photos are a great way of bringing more exposure to your profile and statistically speaking, the more people visit your profile, the more customers you are likely to get.

There is a common assumption that the best escorts, will be the ones with really good photos. You can spot a good photo miles away and clients will be more tempted to see somebody who looks great in their photos. Over the last couple of weeks, we have had several calls from male escorts wanting to join the Crimson Folly team. At present we are focusing only on providing an advertising platform for our female companions. From the number of calls and applications,there seems to be an increasing number of straight guys, who want to join the escorting industry. However, from my personal experience working in this industry, there does not seem to be a great demand for male escorts in Leeds.

I presume that due to the current economic climate coupled with many other personal factors, guys are becoming more interested in the escort industry. What makes a good Escort?

It is quite difficult to say what really makes a good escort, but from my personal experience of working as a Leeds escort in the escorting industry, I believe I have learnt quite a lot from the feedback I have been given by my clients. Good looks definitely matter however, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and as such is a question of personal taste. Challenges of a Leeds Escort

I have been an escort for nearly two years now and it is not as easy as you would think, everything is not all rosy. Obviously, the money is really good and I have been treated to good food and wine and I can honestly say that I have met some truly amazing people, with whom I have shared a wonderful time. However, as often is the case for most escorts, you do not know who you will meet next and if you are unlucky, you will fall on a demanding and not very pleasant person.

I would say about 95% of the clients are nice decent guys who will treat the escorts with the respect that they deserve and acknowledge the fact that these girls are doing this because they want to and often using it as a substantial means of income. On the other hand, there are few clients who are a bit more “difficult” should I say, as they think that they are paying for the escort and it therefore allows them to treat the girls as they wish. I do not know of any escort who would like to see such a client and I think it is absolutely wrong of the clients to expect that.

In the case of the escorting industry, I would say the “customer is not always right”. Working as an escort has definitely given me more insight about the human behaviour and I would say that the way you treat other people, and escorts, who are also human beings, is a reflection of the kind of person you are. In any job you meet nice people and the odd bad ones and this is true for escorting as well, I have met some clients that I did not get on with and would have to turn them away, usually due to personality clashes and therefore no amount of money would make me want to spend time with them.

This is not to say that others may get along with them but if the situation isn’t going to work for both parties, then sometimes you need to walk away. Guys, if you are ever in this position and your chosen escort does decide to leave, you shouldn’t take it personally. Sometimes thinks work out and sometimes they don’t. So, please be considerate of the escort’s feelings and do not assume that just because you have paid to spend time with an escort, that you have purchased them, this is not the case. Each girl who is working will have a different reason for doing it and it should always be a fun experience for all parties.

How to choose a good agency to work for?

The escorting industry in Leeds has been growing very rapidly over the last couple of years and there are so many agencies that are springing up. It is a very competitive market and it is becoming increasingly popular for young good looking girl wanting to make some quick money to work as an escort. I have been to quite a few interviews myself and most of the time, the agency will not provide details about their working or safety rules. Their main concern will be to arrange a photoshoot so you can start working for them as soon as possible and they will be even more concerned about you paying your “commission” on time and respecting your hours that you have given to them. I have met very few agents in Leeds who will take time to take your considerations in mind. The main thing is that the agent should be nice and friendly enough that you do not feel exploited and that they help you make money in a good way.

As an agency owner, their first priority should be the safety of the escorts who work with them. But in reality, that is not of their concern, if ever something bad should happen, then they probably will come up with a contingency plan then and there. In this industry, you cannot just bury your head in the sand and hope for the best. So girls, when you go for an interview, you should look out for agencies who will provide you with exact guidelines about your safety and also that they would not have a problem with you not seeing a client who you do not feel comfortable with. Being an escort is definitely a good source of revenue but it should never be at the cost of your safety.

Why no Incall apartments from Crimson Folly?

Since we have opened, several of our customers have been phoning the agency to ask if we provide incalls and a few have been complaining that it would add to their costs. We fully understand this concern and didn’t take this decision lightly. Incalls have become increasingly popular over the recent years and we understand that from a client’s perspective the convenience is significant. We did a lot of reasearch into this before taking the decision and ultimately have decided that we will never have an incall apartment. From our understanding of the law, and please note we are not offering legal advice here just our interpretation, and the legal advice that we have been given, it is not legal to have several girls working in an apartment as it would be classed by the authorities as a ‘brothel’. We understand that several agencies actually have incall apartments that are often very well maintained and swanky but that is their personal choice and we believe they will always run the risk of getting in trouble with the law.

A property can be raided for different reasons, most usually it happens if there have been complaints from neighbours or other residents, if under age girls are known to be working for an agency or if there are drug- related activities going on. Take a step back for a second and think of it this way, you are a very rich individual and have spent half a million an a top penthouse apartment in Leeds, your next door neighbour is renting and they are using the apartment for incalls all day and night, new people, both women and men are knocking on the door and every once in a while there is a client that is not to savory variety that kicks up a bit of fuss. Now being the person who has paid such a large amount of money to own and bring up your family in this luxury apartment, you are not really going to be too pleased about having an agency working next door. We fully agree with them, it isn’t at all fair. We believe that if you want to spend some time with a companion it should be at the clients premises or a hotel, both for comfort and relaxation reasons, but also to not upset the people that live around. In the case of outcalls, the neighbours will not find it unusual to have the odd one of two new friends coming over to visit every so often.

There are many incall agencies in Leeds and it may appear that it is more lucrative to rent an apartment from where the escorts can work. I have myself worked for several agencies who offer incalls and I should say that the apartments were usually luxurious penthouse apartments and very discreet. There was nothing seedy about the way the agencies were operating and many of the customers were very impressed by the apartments. However, the incall agencies will always be working against the law and will always be on shaky grounds but I suppose that is their decision. After complete review of how we want to run Crimson Folly and a reflection on the ethical and moral implications, we have decided that it isn’t right for us to do the same.

Is it better for an escort agency to be managed by a man or a woman?

Most of the escort agencies around Leeds pride themselves in having a “female-only management team”. But does that actually make any difference to the escorts who are working for those agencies. As an escort myself, I started working for an agency owned by a woman and although I have to admit that she was really helpful in showing me a few tricks of the trade, it did start to get a bit more complicated afterwards. She had previously worked in the escorting world herself and sometimes she would relate to a bad experience that I had and it was quite easy to talk to a woman about the guys I had seen. 

However, I have noticed that the level of ‘bitchiness’ also increases when there is an all female management team. I felt that sometimes that it was a lot easier for a female agency owner to manipulate the escorts. There have been so many times that I have not felt well enough to go out on a booking but somehow would be cleverly forced by the agency to do them a “massive favour” by doing a booking for them. And the irony is of course that the phone call would be by a woman of course. There is also always the element of jealousy, so if you are unlucky enough not to get along with one of the females doing the phones, then there goes your business. So on one hand you get the element of a woman’s understanding to your own plea but then you have to put up with a certain level of unprofessionalism.

I am also aware that there are many guys who own escort agencies, who will use their position of power over the escorts to get their own way. I have heard stories from other escorts who have worked for male agency owners who would get calls at unsocial hours to pay a special visit to their “boss”. So I believe the best arrangement is to have a team where both sexes are involved and hence getting the best of both worlds, the level-headedness of a man, with the “friend” and “confidant” element provided by a woman. The utopian idea of an all-female management team would work if less emotions were involved, unfortunately it seems to be in our nature to let our emotions take too much priority, at least it often is for me.

In the end, I guess it doesn’t really matter whether it is run by women or men, as long as they are nice people and have the genuine interests of the escorts working with them at heart, that is to say that they are not completely money focused like quite a few are.
