You cannot get more central than this, as it is a few minutes walk from the train station and there are some great restaurants and bars around.The rooms are standard and do look a bit knackered but they are bigger that the rooms at the Etap Leeds. The other Travel Lodge is on Vicar Lane and is in a less busy street. It is near the Chinese quarter of Leeds and only a few minutes from the shopping arcades. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and they can even arrange a late night take away for you. The Travel Lodge has a bar and sitting area that is quite nice.

If you fancy staying away from the city centre, then the Premier Inn Leeds City West,on Gelderd Road is perfect. It is about 5 minutes away from the city centre and comes with free parking. Next to this cheap hotel is a TGI Friday’s that serves good value food. The Premier Inn is very comfortable and the rooms are definitely bigger and is a great improvement from the other budget hotels in Leeds. There is a feeling of space and there is even a sofa in some of the rooms and the showers are great as well. When booking you can get the choice to get a “room and meal deal” and it is definitely worth the money, just for the great breakfast.

If you want to stay in Leeds on a budget, then there should not be much trouble finding a cheap hotel. As long as you are not expecting too much from your hotel and are here to experience the fun that Leeds has to offer.
