After having read lots and lots of reviews written by ‘punters’, the internet is populated by them, I thought it would be refreshing to have the perspective of an escort on a booking. One of the reasons for starting Crimson Folly was to run an agency in Leeds that was fair to the girls. Having worked for a number of agencies, I realised that things could be done in a better way. There are some good agencies out there but most of them are far too interested in making money rather than the girls working with them. They tend to treat the girls like commodities, without giving them the choice or freedom to decide who they want to see. So I was appalled when I joined another agency and how it was all run and the amount of money they were taking from the girls.
Even more, I was shocked at the quality of the customers and that they were not bothered where the girls were being sent or about their safety. The problem is that the good agencies are very selective about who they take on board. The principle of Crimson Folly is that the escorts working with us, can choose their own rates, referral fees, hours and clients. By giving the girls this freedom, it makes for a better work environment and it is more ethical.
Escorting should be fun and enjoyable but there are times when as an escort, you reach a point of saturation and have to take some time off. It can be a very mentally exhausting job at times, as you deal with different types of people and some of them, might be on a totally different wave length. We have been running Crimson folly for nearly 6 months now and it has been a real eye opener for me. I got in the escorting industry 2 years ago without having any idea about how it all worked and have thoroughly enjoyed my time working as an escort. I was lucky enough to get started with a decent agency and had lots of help to guide me through it all. So when I decided to start my own escort agency, I thought that it would be smooth sailing but boy was I wrong!!
As with any business, it requires of lot financial and personal commitment. Not only having to work 7 days a week, but working very long and hard hours, 7 days a week. Sometimes I think it was a lot easier when I was only escorting but I have to keep reminding myself it is all for a good cause and it will be worth it in the long term. One of the founding principles of Crimson Folly was that it was going to be an agency with more emphasis placed on the support of the girls. Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive environment for the ladies who work alongside us. We have some amazing clients, who are true gentlemen and been very respectful and nice towards the team and the girls. However, we do have our share of should I say “interesting”clients, who have a very deluded idea about escorts, escort agencies and the industry as a whole.
In the beginning, all the girls working with us were friends who we had known through escorting and it was easier to coordinate everything as we all knew each other very well. As the agency started to expand, we were getting a clients and a lot of applications therefore we started to recruit new girls to the team. One of the first problems that we then discovered was the reliability of certain girls. There is nothing worse than not being able to get hold of the girls when you have an appointment for them. It can be an absolute nightmare and it is not a good reflection on the agency and unfortunately several clients have in the past got quite upset with us about this. Clearly this element of running an agency will always be one of the difficulties, and is bound to happen when you deal with escorts who work for themselves rather then for the agency directly as is the case with Crimson Folly.
It is a constant learning curve and everyday brings a new challenge. Ultimately it is the girls that make a good agency and thankfully we have some fantastic escort ladies working alongside us. Many of our clients seem to be really interested in the escorting industry and how it all works. So over the coming months I will be writing starting a new series within this blog giving you a true account of the industry (with lots of funny anecdotes) and hope to dispel some of the myths about escorting as well.

Situated just by York’s river Foss is one of the city’s most loved restaurants, The Blue Bicycle. The building itself is easy to miss, yet full of history. In fact, what first caught my eye was the hat-boxes in the window that were decorated with early photographic nudes, which reveals the building’s history as one of the most frequented bordellos in York. The Crowne Plaza is a wonderful Deluxe hotel situated on Wellington Street in Leeds. It is a a few minutes from the train station and is in a relatively quiet location. The hotel has its own car park which is an added bonus, although you do have to pay for this if you ask nicely at reception they often will provide you with a ticket to get out for free. The hotel is very well maintained and I have to say that the hotel staff are absolutely fantastic. The lobby is very elegantly done and has an almost regal feeling about it, with the grand staircase and big chandeliers. The check in process is very easy and efficient, even more so for regulars as they have a special checkin desk just for senior priority club members.
The standard rooms in the hotel are a decent size and are all very clean and very nicely decorated. There is a nice relaxing feel throughout the hotel and is ideal for a quiet stay. The beds are very large and comfortable and allows for an undisturbed night’s sleep. The air conditioning can be a bit loud at times but keeps the room wonderfully cool in summer.
