Secrets to a great booking

May 2nd, 2012 by

After having read lots and lots of reviews written by ‘punters’, the internet is populated by them, I thought it would be refreshing to have the perspective of an escort on a booking. Sadly, more than often our opinions are not taken into consideration. Well sorry to break the news, us escorts are not machines and we also have a brain. Many guys are a bit deluded in thinking that just because they are spending their cash and even worse flashing their rolex, we are going to bend over backwards (forgive the pun) to please them. I am sure that during some time in your life, you will have gone on a terrible date, well imagine how many of those dates an escort has to go through! I know you will be thinking oh well, the escorts are getting paid for their time and companionship and they have to put up with that. Truth of the matter is we do not have to and many escorts are very careful about who they choose to see.

While I do understand that, I believe that a little gesture can make a whole lot of difference and a true gentleman should and will be aware of that. Manners make a man and it should apply in all aspect of your life, especially so when you are meeting a beautiful woman. Please gentlemen, do bear in mind that the appointment involves two people and if you are not respectful of your companion, well then do not be surprised if you get turned away. We are not expecting any grand gestures or acts of chivalry but simply that the gentleman will be nice and courteous throughout the date. Yes that is it, if you are polite and show some appreciation to your escort, that will yield you their respect and they will be more likely to go out of their way to make your time together more agreeable.

I have seen my fair share of conceited and rude clients who think that they are God’s gift to women and honestly, that is the worst turn off.  Whilst we are on the subject of turn offs, another big one is poor hygiene! There is nothing worse than meeting a guy who looks like he has not had a shower for ages and reeks! I am certain that no client would like it if their chosen escort turned up at their door, with greasy hair, no make up and stinking. So guys, again if you want to impress your escort, always ensure that you are looking your best and there is nothing more attractive than the smell of aftershave on a guy. There are many more things and I could go on and on, but I believe I have covered the most important aspects on how to get the most out of your appointment.

So remember gentlemen, be nice and smell good and that is the key to a great booking!

What makes Crimson Folly different?

March 8th, 2012 by

One of the reasons for starting Crimson Folly was to run an agency in Leeds that was fair to the girls. Having worked for a number of agencies, I realised that things could be done in a better way. There are some good agencies out there but most of them are far too interested in making money rather than the girls working with them. They tend to treat the girls like commodities, without giving them the choice or freedom to decide who they want to see. I was quite lucky to have started out with a decent agency which was run very professionally, although the working conditions were very strict. So I was appalled when I joined another agency and how it was all run and the amount of money they were taking from the girls.

Even more, I was shocked at the quality of the customers and that they were not bothered where the girls were being sent or about their safety. The problem is that the good agencies are very selective about who they take on board. The principle of Crimson Folly is that the escorts working with us, can choose their own rates, referral fees, hours and clients. By giving the girls this freedom, it makes for a better work environment and it is more ethical.

Escorting should be fun and enjoyable but there are times when as an escort, you reach a point of saturation and have to take some time off. It can be a very mentally exhausting job at times, as you deal with different types of people and some of them, might be on a totally different wave length. So, it is very frustrating when you cannot rely on the support of the agency when you are unlucky enough to come across a challenging client.

At Crimson Folly, we work with the girls so they have always have a say about their work. It is that element of independence which is very important as the girls should always feel like they are in control of their working life and not somebody else.

Running Crimson Folly Escort Agency

September 19th, 2011 by

We have been running Crimson folly for nearly 6 months now and it has been a real eye opener for me. I got in the escorting industry 2 years ago without having any idea about how it all worked and have thoroughly enjoyed my time working as an escort. I was lucky enough to get started with a decent agency and had lots of help to guide me through it all. So when I decided to start my own escort agency, I thought that it would be smooth sailing but boy was I wrong!!

As with any business, it requires of lot financial and personal commitment. Not only having to work 7 days a week, but working very long and hard hours, 7 days a week. Sometimes I think it was a lot easier when I was only escorting but I have to keep reminding myself it is all for a good cause and it will be worth it in the long term. One of the founding principles of Crimson Folly was that it was going to be an agency with more emphasis placed on the support of the girls. Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive environment for the ladies who work alongside us. We have some amazing clients, who are true gentlemen and been very respectful and nice towards the team and the girls. However, we do have our share of should I say “interesting”clients, who have a very deluded idea about escorts, escort agencies and the industry as a whole.

In the beginning, all the girls working with us were friends who we had known through escorting and it was easier to coordinate everything as we all knew each other very well. As the agency started to expand, we were getting a clients and a lot of applications therefore we started to recruit new girls to the team. One of the first problems that we then discovered was the reliability of certain girls. There is nothing worse than not being able to get hold of the girls when you have an appointment for them. It can be an absolute nightmare and it is not a good reflection on the agency and unfortunately several clients have in the past got quite upset with us about this. Clearly this element of running an agency will always be one of the difficulties, and is bound to happen when you deal with escorts who work for themselves rather then for the agency directly as is the case with Crimson Folly.

It is a constant learning curve and everyday brings a new challenge. Ultimately it is the girls that make a good agency and thankfully we have some fantastic escort ladies working alongside us. Many of our clients seem to be really interested in the escorting industry and how it all works. So over the coming months I will be writing starting a new series within this blog giving you a true account of the industry (with lots of funny anecdotes) and hope to dispel some of the myths about escorting as well.

The Blue Bicycle Restaurant York

September 8th, 2011 by

Situated just by York’s river Foss is one of the city’s most loved restaurants, The Blue Bicycle. The building itself is easy to miss, yet full of history. In fact, what first caught my eye was the hat-boxes in the window that were decorated with early photographic nudes, which reveals the building’s history as one of the most frequented bordellos in York. Inside the restaurant, this homage to the building’s past takes on a new life. The décor has a distinct boudoir feel to it; plenty of cushions, deep red walls, draping curtains and dark woods are surrounded by nouveaux Roman statuettes and vintage boudoir photos, some of which I am told are of the escorts of York’s past. There are even vaulted booths for extra intimacy, perfect for a date with one of the many beautiful escorts York has to offer. The feel of the restaurant is sensuous and tactile, managing to refrain from being tacky or pretentious. The staff at the restaurant are friendly and very efficient. When I visited the restaurant was very busy, yet the staff seemed relaxed and more than happy to make suggestions from the dauntingly extensive wine list. The food is modern British in style, with some international and plenty of continental influences. Some dishes are very traditional; sausages and mash spruced up with crème fraîche and coriander. Others are clearly more inspired by cuisines further afield; goats cheese soufflé and Cajun spiced fish stew, for example. Sadly, the desert menu was slightly disappointing; lacking the creative flair evident in the previous courses. Overall, The Blue Bicycle is a restaurant best enjoyed in the evening, where the mystery and intimacy reflected in the décor make it the perfect place for a dinner date with one of Crimson Folly’s escorts.

If you should so desire, The Blue Bicycle also provides luxury accommodation just behind the restaurant and a short walk to York’s beautiful city centre. Judging from the website (I am yet to visit the hotel myself) the rooms contrast considerably with the ramshackle romanticism of the restaurant. The photos show the hotel suites to be bright, sleek and modern, with all the necessities needed for a business trip or short break. Each suite contains a fitted kitchen, luxurious bathroom and lounge area. The privacy and beautiful surroundings of the rooms of each individual suite make it the perfect place to entertain (or be entertained) by a beautiful Crimson Folly escort. Included with the price each room is a fruit basket, Full English or Continental breakfast and a complimentary bottle of champagne, perfect for sharing in the company of one our elite York escorts. Situated on Fossgate, just a short walk into the York’s city centre, those who choose to stay here will be well situated to enjoy the sights and tastes that York has to offer. Fossgate alone has many fine dining establishments, including the Michelin Starred J Bakers and the wonderful Mason’s Bar and Bistro, so should you decide to stay for more than one night, you will be well-positioned for a variety of culinary experiences.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel Leeds

July 21st, 2011 by

The Crowne Plaza is a wonderful Deluxe hotel situated on Wellington Street in Leeds. It is a a few minutes from the train station and is in a relatively quiet location. The hotel has its own car park which is an added bonus, although you do have to pay for this if you ask nicely at reception they often will provide you with a ticket to get out for free. The hotel is very well maintained and I have to say that the hotel staff are absolutely fantastic. The lobby is very elegantly done and has an almost regal feeling about it, with the grand staircase and big chandeliers. The check in process is very easy and efficient, even more so for regulars as they have a special checkin desk just for senior priority club members.

The standard rooms in the hotel are a decent size and are all very clean and very nicely decorated. There is a nice relaxing feel throughout the hotel and is ideal for a quiet stay. The beds are very large and comfortable and allows for an undisturbed night’s sleep. The air conditioning can be a bit loud at times but keeps the room wonderfully cool in summer. As for the bathrooms, they are quite spacious and immaculately clean and nice smelling, with lovely toiletries. The Internet access throughout the hotel is very good. Room service is absolutely wonderful and you get a call a few minutes before your food is due to arrive, which is great.

The amenities at the hotel are fantastic, with a great heated indoor pool and sauna. The Spirit Health club is very spacious and with a great range of equipments. The hotel restaurant serves decent food but I found it to be quite pricey for what was on offer. The Roundhay Bar and Lounge is ideal for light bites and also offers Starbucks coffee, which will make all coffee lovers happy and has a very relaxing atmosphere. There are some great bars around the hotel such as the lively Wellington Pub which is just a few minutes away and definitely worth a visit. There are also some great restaurants on Wellington Street including the Italian restaurant Mio Modo (which is a personal favorite) if you do not want to venture into the heart of Leeds city centre. The Crowne Plaza is definitely a great hotel to stay at and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and will ensure that you have a good time.

Is it worth it to get professional photos?

July 13th, 2011 by

Remember, the first thing that clients will see are your photos and with the competition getting increasingly harsh, it is always best to put yourself in the ‘limelight’. There are so many girls escorting nowadays and if you want to get work consistently over time, then you have to portray yourself in the best way possible. Good professional photos are a great way of bringing more exposure to your profile and statistically speaking, the more people visit your profile, the more customers you are likely to get.

There is a common assumption that the best escorts, will be the ones with really good photos. You can spot a good photo miles away and clients will be more tempted to see somebody who looks great in their photos. Nobody will want to see a photo, that is low in resolution or that looks grainy and cheap. So, ladies if you want more work, then you need to invest in some professional photos. It is understandable that the costs of getting some photos done can be quite high, but at the end of the day it is a good investment.

From my experience as working as an escort, I started off by using some photos taken by a friend. They were alright but at a later date, when I started using an experienced glamour photographer, I noticed the difference in the quality of the photos and they just looked so much more classy and expensive. It is a bit of a pampering session to get some professional photos, as you can get your hair and make-up done by a professional make-up artist and you will feel like a star.

However, it is very important to choose the right photographer. There are many glamour photographers out there, with a whole array of prices, starting form £40 up to £600. It is always best to check their websites to see if their style matches your own, before committing yourself. It is also important to have some good chemistry between yourself and the photographer as it will make the experience much more fun and as a result you will get better photos.

It can be quite intimidating to go for a photo-shoot the for the first time, when you do not have any modelling experience. You do not want to look awkward in your photos, always try to relax and enjoy the whole experience. It is standard that the escort’s photos will be retouched. However, it is entirely the choice of the escort and a bit of photo-shopping to take out tattoos or birth marks is not bad. However, an overly done photo will not work and will create a false impression both of yourself and the place where you are advertising yourself. In Leeds there are a number of escort agencies that have got a very bad reputation for having “Fake” images of girls. Once this negative reputation is established in the area it can seriously impact the quality of clients who use them. In the long run it is better to have a minimal, natural and a complimentary amount of photoshop work done on your images but certainly not re-modelling. Overall it is definitely worth getting professional photos, especially if you want to be a professional escort.

Male Escorts in Leeds

July 2nd, 2011 by

Over the last couple of weeks, we have had several calls from male escorts wanting to join the Crimson Folly team. At present we are focusing only on providing an advertising platform for our female companions. From the number of calls and applications, there seems to be an increasing number of straight guys, who want to join the escorting industry. However, from my personal experience working in this industry, there does not seem to be a great demand for male escorts in Leeds.

I presume that due to the current economic climate coupled with many other personal factors, guys are becoming more interested in the escort industry. It seems like the ideal option of making some quick cash and meeting women. Many of the guys, we have spoken to are not very informed about the ways the agencies work and what is expected really. So, here is some helpful tips for gentlemen who are considering escorting.

First of all, most agencies do not have a joining fee but will require professional photos in order to advertise their escort properly. Depending on the agency, some will provide a free photo-shoot or alternatively arrange one for the escort with a professional photographer, where the costs will be shared between the agency and the escort. Also, the referral fee or introduction fee of any agency should be reasonable and if it is too high, then there is no point in joining them. There does not seem to be many male escort agencies in Leeds as well, which is a reflection of the demand for this specific market.

However, there seems to be quite a high demand for gay guys, as it is a niche market. So for those gentlemen who are looking into working as a full-time escort, Leeds does not have much of a market and they might have better luck in London.

The hotel is very popular and there is a friendly and relaxed ambiance throughout. The bar is ideal for after work drinks and the best thing is that is is open 24 hours, allowing you to have a drink anytime and also do light snacks as well. The restaurant is not bad either, serving a great selection of food. The breakfast buffet is good value for money and you are sure to leave full and happy. There are a few restaurants around, with TGI Friday’s just across the road from the Ibis or you can simply head into Leeds city centre where you can find all types of cuisine.

The hotel’s proximity to the city and all the local amenities is great and Kirkstall is not too far away, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars, if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city.
